Maybe it’s me getting old but sometimes I wish I could store, or better yet, retrieve information more easily from my brain!

So this is it.. I’m going to dump (part of) my brain in this blog, for me as a searchable archive, and for the rest of the world as tips to benefit from! 

Why?

During the course of once life you see and learn a lot of things, but sometimes it’s hard to recall exactly what is was and that is just a pain in the ass.

I’ve been working on a (WordPress) website for 2 years now, I learn, I tweak, I forget.. that’s basically it. Well it’s not that bad but it are things like websites, pieces of code to fix a bug a tweak a feature or just that one great plugin you know was very usefull but you just can’t recall which it was until you browse the WordPress installations pluging directory “Aahh.. that’s the one i was looking for”!

So yesterday I was looking at my site stats and was yet again annoyed about the massive hits on ‘wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’.. so I though let’s google that and solve that question once and for all! So I did, and I wish I did before because it seems that this particular issue is killing (performance of) several wordpress installations! I found what was causing it and what there to do.. it’s accually pretty simple once you know it!
